It's lovely to look at old pictures from our journeys in Samos. By car you can explore the whole place. From the mountains the view is enormous.

Olive grove

I can hardly imagine anything better than drive by bike or walk in peace through this old olive grove near Pythagorion Marina. On our first trip to Samos we walked first time by this lovely path to the town from Hotel Naftilos. It was amazing!

The beach behind the school

Samos beaches are famous for their green environment and the chrystal water. Here you can find more information about beaches of Samos. It's easy to find your favorite one. 

Just behind the school in Pythagorion is a nice little cave and a good place for a swim.

Holiday plans

Today is the 19th of January. It's time to make some serious plans for summer 2017. I checked a few possibilities of accommodation in Samos. Most important criterion is a cosy bed with good mattress, white sheets and clean bathroom. Atmosphere is important. The feeling that this is it. We think that we have found this holidays destiny. Perfect for us.

We have had good experiences during these years in this lovely Aegean island. Boutique Hotel Naftilos, Samos Sun, Studios Iris and Arion Hotel are familiar places which I can truly recommend. This time we want new experiences: peaceful places where we have not yet visited, morning swims and endless walks in olive groves and seaside. Not specially big plans, just enjoying to be together in our favorite island.

Samos Airport

Samos Airport is near Pythagorion. The arrival is a little bit exiting. The plane curves towards the mountains just before landing. But it's worth it! The feeling in your heart is amazing when you feel the heat.

Samos island is just a perfect place for different kind of holidays. You can find peace, nature, shopping, swimming, windsurfing, diving and hiking. Visit Samos and Discover Samos are pages where you can find lots of information about this wonderful destiny for a lovely holiday. 2the Little STORE

My favorite  boutique in Pythagorion is 2the Little Store. A couple of years ago The Viennece Girl has made a marvellous post about this unique shop on the main street. Take a look to her beautiful pictures! 

Now Eva and Stella have opened a web shop. I have bought a big hamam towel from them. I use it as a scarf or a blanket. It feels so comfortable and I think it is full of greek warmth.
