What are the ingredients of a good holiday?
Samos is a perfect Aegean island for us to have a holiday. When we pack our luggages there will be a pair of comfy shoes, cosy cotton or linen clothes, swimming suits and book or two for both of us because reading is the most wonderful habit on a holiday. Walking, biking and swimming are things which are easy ways to enjoy relaxing time together.
Samos has plenty of beautiful accommodations. We have been lucky to find many different places to stay. Last summer in the beginning of June we stayed a week at Sunrise Hotel in Ireon. That was an unexpected journey but really worth it. It was so easy to get the holiday mood in a familiar village. Ireon felt again like home to us.
Our planned trip came true on July. Something special was to rent a car from John's Rentals and get it to the airport. Our holiday started right away with a feel of freedom. We have visited Samos so many times that it's easy to begin living in a cosy studio. First a visit to a Pharmacy in Ireon to buy Algoflogen lotion and Vichy sunscreen. Then we settled down and went for a first swim.
Once we have had a possibility to enjoy Samos also in October. It was also a marvellous trip. In my earlier post Samos in October you can read our Autumn impressions. from 2019. Sunrise Hotel is my theme in this post before they had started renovations. Take a look!
So what are the reasons why we love about this island so much. Maybe it's our talent to see beauty everywhere and feel the atmosphere in our soul. Samos has many different kinds on areas. I am sure that we'll find still lots of districts to explore.
